Save the date: German online EMN conference “Towards effective asylum and migration management – Innovative approaches and implementation in practice”

On 29 October 2020, a national EMN conference will be organized by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) as part of the programme of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The aim of the virtual conference is to determine the common challenges and practical approaches to effective asylum and migration management. The conference covers a wide range of topics from knowledge and information management in the migration context to data management in the asylum procedure, as well as the humanitarian admission of those seeking protection. As a whole, the conference aims to focus on innovative approaches in all these fields. And as the COVID-19 pandemic has a great impact on every aspect of life, this also shall be an overriding topic during the conference.
