EMN Glossary and Thesaurus

The EMN Glossary improves comparability by enabling a common understanding and use of terms and definitions relating to asylum and migration. The Glossary draws on a variety of sources, primarily those given in the EU asylum and migration acquis, and makes the terminology available in most of the languages of the EMN members. The Glossary has subsequently been used to develop the EMN Thesaurus, which will enable structured documenting and searching.

The EMN Glossary has been updated to reflect the most up-to-date developments in the field of asylum and migration and now contains over 450 terms. Below the text you can find the latest version of the Glossary in PDF format.
