A digital nomad is a third-country national who is employed or performs work through communication technology for a foreign company or his own company that is not registered in the Republic of Croatia and does not perform work or provide services to employers in the Republic of Croatia. Temporary residence is granted for a period of one year.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced on its website that an advertising campaign has been launched by the Croatian National Tourist Board with the aim of positioning Croatia as an attractive and well-prepared destination for digital nomads.

In addition to PR and media activities, the campaign will be conducted through the social networks Facebook and Twitter with a special focus on the US, Canada and the United Kingdom. As part of the campaign, on the “Croatia.hr” website, a special subpage “Croatia your new office” was created in English, which contains all important information related to the application and stay of digital nomads in Croatia.
