EMN seminar "Strengthening the capacity of officials for illegal migration in the area of return"

At the seminar, 41 police officers for illegal migration from 20 police administrations were trained. The training covered the legislative framework in procedures with foreigners, making and implementing decisions regarding return, and entering, updating and using data from the MoI information system. Although the emphasis was placed on voluntary return, the implementation of readmission and removal was also presented. The participants were educated about the protection of human rights and the treatment of vulnerable groups in the return process, as well as the application of free legal aid and the use of translators.

 

The participants of the seminar were introduced to the role, tasks and way of functioning of the European Migration Network, as well as publications and other products of the network, and

they were also presented with the activities of the group of return experts within the EMN.
