Ukraine and Montenegro join EMN

In August and September 2022, Ukraine and Montenegro joined the EMN in the role of observers. Such an agreement is an important step that leads to an easier exchange of experiences on a wide range of issues.

During 2021 Ukraine and Montenegro expressed interest to join EMN as non-voting observers, funding their own participation.

At the beginning of August, Ukraine, and as of today, Montenegro officially became observer countries in the European Migration Network.As part of the EMN, Montenegro and Ukraine will participate in the activities of exchanging information on migration and asylum, inform their public about migration trends and use the network to develop their own migration management systems.

These collaborations will make a significant contribution to the development of the migration management system of all parties in the future.
