The European Commission has launched a pilot initiative: EU Talent pool pilot. The initiative is intended for displaced persons from Ukraine who are beneficiaries of temporary protection

The EU Talent Pool is an additional support tool available to countries hosting displaced persons, and was launched on October 10, 2022.

Persons under temporary protection will be able to use this tool to enter information about their qualifications and skills through the web interface and thus express their interest in employment to employers in the European Union and national authorities responsible for employment.

The European Commission has decided that the EU Talent Pool Pilot will be implemented through the EURES portal, i.e. through the network of public employment offices of the member states of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

In addition to the Republic of Croatia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Cyprus also are participating in the pilot project.
By registering on the EURES portal, users of temporary protection can create a CV that will be available to interested employers through a special interface.
In the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Employment Service (CES) administers data on vacancies within the framework of EURES. Also, the CES took the role of the National Contact Point for the EU Talent Base. Regional offices have the role of contact points at the local level.

The main goal of the project is the integration of beneficiaries of temporary protection in the labor market of the member state in which they are located. Local national employment services can also independently contact candidates through the EURES portal in their area for employment mediation.
