Training of national REG experts
On November 21st and 22nd 2019, In Marija Bistrica, as part of the activities of the European Migration Network, the education of national experts for return was held.
The education was organised in cooperation with the European Migration Network National Contact Point for the Republic of Croatia and the Department for border management, MOI of the Republic of Croatia.The introductory words were held by the Assistant Chief of the Border Directorate, Mr. Dragan Babovic, head of the Service for irregular migration, Mr. Zvonimir Vrbljanin and national coordinator of the EMN NCP for the Republic of Croatia Mrs. Lidija Pentavec.
The education was attended by the heads of services/units for irregular migration from twenty police administrations, the leaders of the three Reception centres for foreigners, as well as representatives of the services dealing with decision-making in the process of granting international protection and their accommodation.
National coordinator of the HR EMN NCP Mrs Pentavec introduced the European Migration Network and it's current activities, as well as on the activities of the EMN REG working group.
The main themes of the education was the application of the Alliens Act, the Ordinance on the treatment of third-country nationals, the Protocol on the treatment of unaccompanied children and the Standard operating procedures.
