Joint EMN-OECD roundtable on the use of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in migration management was held

On 10 February 2022, a virtual roundtable on digitalization in migration management was held

During the roundtable, a new inform of the European Migration Network "The use of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in migration management" was presented, which deals with opportunities and challenges in the use of new digital technologies and innovative practices in the context of migration.


The roundtable stimulated the discussion on these topics with presentations on innovative research by experts working on the development of artificial intelligence, its application and digital technologies.


The importance of digital technologies, to support the system of international protection, legal migration and return, is emphasized in the New Pact, and is also the focus of a series of EMN informs dealing with innovation in migration.
