On March 13, 2019, a workshop for representatives of detention centers was held in Luxembourg. A representative of the Detention center Ježevo attended the workshop.

The workshop was opened by the head of the Detention center in Luxembourg, who presented the organization, equipment and operation of the detention center in Luxembourg.

The representatives of Estonia, Latvia, Germany, France, Netherlands, Slovenia and Croatia also presented the work of their detention centers and equipment.

From the aforementioned presentations, it is clear that all Member States have the same maximum retention time in the centers, while the minimum period depends on the legislation of the Member State.
Member States that have bigger financial resources to operate their centers have better infrastructure, for example Luxembourg, in whose center the foreigner is accommodated one in the room and when the above mentioned rooms are filled the foreigners are accommodated in the rooms that are foreseen for two persons.
