On 4 December, the EMN National Contact Point of Ireland hosted the National Conference on the topic “Looking to the future for unaccompanied minors in Ireland and Europe”.

During the Conference various issues were discussed including the status, care and integration of unaccompanied minors in Ireland and internationally, both in relation to those who were granted with international protection and those transitioning to adulthood without a determined status.

Two representatives of the Croatian EMN National Contact Point attended the conference, as well as a representative of the Ministry of the Interior.

The topic of the Conference was linked to the findings of the EMN Study conducted in 2017 on approaches to unaccompanied minors following status determination in the EU plus Norway.
